Thousand and One Nights is a video story by contemporary Sheherzade. These
are the stories of sensuality, travels, desires, life and death. The camera as an
extension of her body, records by constantly following her on a rocky surface;
stopping and deliberating by the waves along the sea shore; feeling subtle
harmonious breathing of her skin, juxtaposing against the brutal dissection of a
human body. These four videos recorded in different time and space, forms
four layers of stories that are running parallel to one another, building a
narrative spanning 1001 nights.
