Sarah rajper

Sarah Rajper is an independent curator, graphic designer and visual artist based in Islamabad. She is currently a selected curator for the Art Exchange: Moving Image, a cross-cultural curatorial program by the British Council, LUX, and Art South Asia Project, through which she is curating the exhibition Seeing, س (Seen). The programme supports curators selected from open calls to work with and respond to moving image works from the British Council Visual Arts Collection.
Rajper is a consultant in the Visual Arts Division at the Pakistan National Council of the Arts (PNCA), and is Creative Producer and Co-Curator for the Lahore Digital Arts Festival. In 2023, she co-curated LDF’s “Four Days Festival” showcasing 74 artists from 14 countries across 9 venues in Lahore. Her multidisciplinary work spans art, design, and curatorial projects with leading organizations such as the EU National Institutes for Culture (EUNIC), UNDP, Goethe-Institut Pakistan, European Union, National Assembly of Pakistan, WWF-Pakistan, National Commission for Human Rights Pakistan, The Juggernaut, and the embassies of France, Austria, Italy, Germany, Czech Republic, and Argentina in Pakistan.
She has curated exhibitions across Islamabad and Lahore at notable venues including PNCA, Lahore Museum, Zahoor-ul-Akhlaq Gallery (National College of Arts), Numaish Gah, Dominion Gallery (The Colony), Beaconhouse National University, Institute for Art and Culture, HAAM Gallery, Aangun, Daftarkhwan, and IBM. In 2023, Rajper’s contributions to the arts were recognized with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals Excellence Award, presented by the Governor of Punjab.
As a visual artist, Rajper has exhibited both physically in Islamabad and virtually in online exhibitions, including the Women of the World (WOW) Festival in Karachi in 2023. Beyond her creative practice, they actively volunteer on issues of human rights, gender inequality, gender-based violence, social justice, mental health, art education, and flood disaster relief.
Rajper holds a Bachelor’s degree in Visual Communication Design (with Honors) from the National College of Arts, with a minor in curation and painting (2020).
